Gps stands for Global Positioning System.
A GPS uses satilites to track your postiions.
2 advantages are they get you really close to your destination. And they are really easy to use.
1 disadvantage is they run on batteries.
Using the GPS over the past week was fun. We went to different points and got soaked! We also played games like capture the flag.
1.Global Positioning system
2.You enter the grid cordents and then you follow the arrow.
3.You can go places without a map. And you can just follow the arrow.
4.The batteres can run dead.
5.We have been finding points for Monday-Wed and then we played capture the flag on thursday.
6.My favorite activity was capture the flag because it was very fun.
7.Now I would want to go to Woodlawn Park.

A gps works by sending and retrieving satalite signals to get a almost exact location.
2 advantages of using a gps are to help you get to a point on the earth and almost any one can use them.
1 disavantage is batterys dont last for ever.
We have been using are gps to find points out in the marsh (Which was very wet). We played games with them with like capture the flag that includes army tactics. :)

6. My favorite activity was Capture the flag. I had fun in attacking and defending. Atacking I was the decoy wearing a bright red backpack. defending i was the one guarding the flag. I had fun though.

The Mapping class was fun. I learned alot in the class. How to shoot asmiths, how to find and record points on a map. My favorite thing to do was to play capture the flag. I will never gaurd it again. All the geo-cacheing was fun to. 9 spots. 5-4 for the geocache boxes. Over and out!
