In addition if you have not completed any past assignments please try to get those finished. For today's assignment you can reply/post a comment to my blog with your answer.

I lerned a lot of things in this class. I lernd how to markpoints on GPSs. Also, I lerned to use a compass more than I did before to get to points. I also learnd a lot about maps and how much info they can give you. That's what I learnd in this class.
I had a lot of good times in this class. One of my favorite parts of the class was Capture the Flag. It was really fun hiding our own flags. I wish I could have gone on the Geocaching field trips. It sounded like a lot of fun.
Have a great summer.
My favorite part of class was capture the flag. The only bad thing was that in the beginning nobody was playing corectly.
I really enjoyed everyone against one with Cougar and Logan. I was really suprised when Logan came up out of the grass
and ran right for me after the birds got him out of hiding.
I enjoyed Geo-caching even though i got lost, nobody got hurt, and everyone had a lot of fun.
We did a lot of maping in the beggining and learned about how small squares get. We went geocoaching after setting the coordinates in the GPS. I learned a lot of new sites and how to organize a road trip. We learned how to tell elevation on a map too.
Now I will tell the best things in the class. I liked capturre the flag, because we got to run all over the place.I will remember the moisquitoe bites for a very long time. Now I even have a fear of birds:@(LOL)
We did alot of things in this class. We started off with highway maps. We learned about scales, distance, and the key on the road map. After that we planed multiple trips with the knowledge we had learned. After that we started to use the blogs and used things like googke maps. Before using the GPS we had to learn to find are way around useing the "old fashioned way" or a
compass.
One of the first things we learned to do with the GPS was to mark waypoints. Then we learned to enter are own waypoints and we found are way around in the brush with the GPS. The class then played capture the flag wich is one of my favorite parts but I was at football camp. I did get one game in though. On the last week we had to out all are gained knowledge into use. WE went to different Geo Chaches on the short bus. We did loose one person, but only for a 1/2 hour. The most memeorable experience I had was when we had to climd down and up a near vertical sop at Holy Hill.;
I learned how to mark points on a map. I also learned how the GPS works and how they did it in the old days. I know how to shoot an asmith, about scales, and how to guess how far it is from one point to another.
My favorite part of this class was capture the flag. I also liked going Geocaching. That was fun even though the thorns cut me up.
One of my most memorable experiences in this class would have to be when I was the only one left when we were playing capture the flag and I made it all the way to the observation deck and one that round of capture the flag.
The first thing we learned was how to read highway maps. Then we started working on identifying terrain on topographic maps. After that we located places on those maps using grid squares. Next we learned how to shoot azmiths and read berings on a compass. WE then used that knowledge in the field by go x amount of meters to an azmith that we had shot. We then learned how to program coordinates into the GPSs, we used them to mark waypoints and go point to point.
We then played capture the flag in the praire behind the school. We used the GPSs to find the enemy teams base. We then started geocacheing, and we rode around the town on the short bus finding caches with the GPSs. And sadly Young Forest got lost in the pike Lake State Forest, and the Park Ranger had to find him. That was the only time we ever lost someone!!!
Well, what I've learned from this class is that you should always stay in little buddy groups when you're hiking(2 to 3 people in a group. Also that you should listen to the rules and always abide by them. I had real fun this year because we got to go to different locations then last year.
One of my memorable moments was when Forrest got lost in the forest of Pike Lake. That will be something I will never forget. The other thing that is always fun is Capture the Flag.
There are many things that I liked about this class. I liked the way that we all had to find places on the map with the squares. I also like learning about ways to get from here to there. The GPS was the best part.I learnded a whole lot from this class.
One of the best things that I liked was taking to other people on the radio. The geo cashing event is one that I would like to do with my family someday. I think that they would like it just as much as I do. But the best part that I'll never forget was going up into the tower and seeing all of hartford. I enjoy a nice veiw. I loved this class.
Well its last of summer school and i really liked this class i had alot of fun working with Mr.Sherman and also my fellow class mates. My favorite part about this class was the working with the GPSs and finding the geo cachs on our field trips.
My most memorable moment was when i almost fell on to Col09 even though it was really funny i had a great time in this class!!!!! I'm sort of sad that its over but a little happier now that i can sleep in and don't have to wake up at 6:30 AM!!! =P But I'm also said because now i probably wont see my class mates till next year but now we all can remember the funny, fun, exciting, and also adventurous memory from summer school
I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT SUMMER AND SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!!
That is three paragraphs just so you know. I didn't realize that I didn't space them until after I posted it.
